I just wanted to thank you for sharing your life. Your dear girl with downs makes my arms ache to hold her. So I don’t sound creepy, I’m a momma to 6 amazing kids, who each have challenges. My favorite part of the day is when I get to sit and do something with my amazing brood. “Tiny”, my oldest daughter, struggles with hypothyroidism, but she is the spunkiest girl I know and she’s the hardest worker I got. “Brand” next eldest, has asperger w/aggression. He is the first to jump in when someone bullies others, he watches of for the smaller and weaker children around him. He simple wants to serve. He struggled so much with learning when to get physical and when to get help. He wants to be a soldier so he can protect those who can’t protect themselves. “Happy” my next boy had a stroke while being born. He has a type of Cerebral Palsy that makes his left half of his body stiff. Then he figured out how to go and do everything the doctor’s said he couldn’t do. He’s a also the first to all what can be do to help me. Next comes my darling “Angel”. She has Autism and anxiety. The entire world is one big noisy scary place. But she tries so hard to do things even when she’s terrified. I cannot express my gratitude for her courage. “Tiger” and “Goliath” are my youngest sons they are 2 years apart, however, Goliath is the same size as Tiger. Both amazing. They are kind and patient. Also, they are every funny. They bring constant not to our family.

With this many children, some days are very difficult, but my life would be the poorer if they were not in it. I never imagined that I could have this much happiness.

I truly believe that children with special needs are God’s gift to us. We get to raise a literal angel of God. They are lent to us so we can learn to love with the pure love of Christ.
I’m on Facebook and have my email address below. You don’t have to, if you don’t want to, but is love to get to know you. Thank you for sharing your fear family with me. You are one blessed momma.
